The Premier Training Event of the Year!

The Southeast Michigan University of Scouting is one of the largest training programs for Cub Scout leaders, Webelos leaders, Boy Scout leaders, Venturing leaders, and district and council leaders.

A wide range of classes will be provided for all levels of Scouting. New leaders can choose from several classes that will help you to deliver the Scouting promise of a quality program. Seasoned veterans can choose from dozens of classes that will help improve the pack, troop, crew or district program. Classes will be offered in unit administration, advancement and program opportunities. In addition, New Leader Essentials leader training will be offered for those who have not received this valuable training experience.

The day is divided into seven hour long sessions. Most classes last one session. A few classes require more than one session. You can take up to five classes. In addition, every participant will schedule one lunch session (offered during session 3, 4 and 5) and one session in the Midway.

The Midway is a Scouting showcase and exhibition. All areas of Scouting, along with local vendors, will provide information about their programs and offerings. The Midway will be open throughout the day.

Lunch is included in the cost of the event. A vegetarian option will be available.

The National Scout Shop will provide many BSA items for sale. Items like program materials, books, patches, and gift and recognition items will be available for purchase. The Scout Shop will be open throughout the day, so plan a visit in between sessions, during lunch, or after visiting the Midway.
