2005-2006 In School Scouting Day Camp

The 2005-2006 Pontiac In School Scouting program year culminated with twenty-one days of day camp. We provided a day camp experience and outdoor education for 2,276 kindergarten through fifth grade students. An additional 141 middle school students participated in a day of rocketry, crafts, hiking, archery, cooperative games and orienteering. All students were serviced at Camp Agawam in Lake Orion.

In School Day Camp participants

Our elementary students moved through four program areas revolving around a High Seas Adventure theme. Students touched real shark jaws, sea anemone, starfish, and abalone shells, learned about Pirates, sailing, SCUBA and scurvy all while hiking, making crafts, playing games, and creating a delicious s’more! Many Clinton Valley Council volunteers helped make this another successful year of In School Scouting…thank you!
